Disposable Virus Sampling Tube

Product Composition: 

Each set contains:

• 1 preservation tube (contains preservation solution)
• Sampling swab: 1 standard configuration, multiple can be customized
• Biosafety bags

Scope Of Application:

• This product is suitable for sample collection, transportation, and storage.

Storage Conditions And Validity Period:

• The product can be stored at 5-25℃ for 12 months before use.
• After use, the product can be stored and transported at 2-8°C for a short period of time. Long-term storage should be at -80°C or below.

Instructions:

1. Take out the swab and sample the target area according to the specifications.

2. Quickly immerse the swab head after sampling into the preservation solution.

3. Break the swab rod at the break point of the swab, discard the tail, tighten the tube cap and close it.

4. Mark the sample information on the storage tube, put it into a sealed bag, and transport it according to the specifications.

Note: Specific sampling methods include the following:

1) Nasal swab:

1.1 Insert the swab from the nostril in the vertical direction of the face, and the depth should be at least half the length from the earlobe to the tip of the nose. After encountering resistance, it reaches the posterior nasopharynx. It should stay for a few seconds to absorb the secretions (generally 15 to 30 seconds are required), and the swab should be rotated 3 to 5 times.

1.2 It is advisable to gently rotate the swab out and immerse the swab head into the sampling solution in the storage tube.

1.3 Break the swab rod from the breaking point, discard the tail, tighten the tube cap and close it.

2) Throat swab:

2.1 Pass the swab across the base of the tongue to the posterior pharyngeal wall, tonsillar recesses, lateral walls, etc.

2.2 First, use a swab to wipe the bilateral pharyngeal tonsils back and forth with moderate force at least 3 times, and then wipe the posterior pharyngeal wall 3 to 5 times.
2.3 Take out the swab (avoid touching the tongue, pendulous body, oral mucosa, and saliva), and immerse the swab head into the sampling solution in the storage tube.

2.4 Break the swab rod from the breaking point, discard the tail, tighten the tube cap, and close it.

Precautions:

1. Please use this product strictly in accordance with the instructions.

2. Please observe whether there is liquid leakage in the collection tube before use. If so, do not use it.

3. Please observe whether there is precipitation or turbidity in the preservation solution before use. If so, do not use it.

4. The preservation solution of this product contains proteins, sugars, antibiotics, inorganic salts, etc. Please avoid direct contact with the skin.

5. This product is for one-time use, please dispose of it as medical waste after use.
